Hibiscus (Hibiscus sabdariffa) is found in many beverage teas, containing antioxidants and anthocyanins that are great for helping to stabilize blood pressure. Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca) has two significant duties--aiding in the congestion of the heart and acting as a nervine tonic. Hawthorn berries (Crataegus oxyacantha) are a favorite for cardiac-related issues as they treat hypertension and strengthen a weak heart. Like Motherwort, it is considered a cardiac tonic; Hawthorn improves the blood supply to the heart, improves the metabolic processes of the heart and effectively pumps the heart better. Finally, Horse Chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) has been utilized to treat dilated veins.

DIRECTIONS:

Add 1-2 teaspoons to 8 ounces of boiling water and steep for 5 minutes.
